The announcement of Telangana state and the ongoing political consequences are feared to affect Tollywood films once again. Telugu Cinema industry is now in a tight spot of bother. Many movies were planned for a release this week and will have an immediate impact on the outcome of the collections at the box-office.  In the past also, several films faced protests from Telangana agitators resulting in heavy financial loss to the producers. With ‘T’ state announced today, Telugu biggies coming next month might face severe trouble from anti Telangana agitators.  Following the political consequences, Film makers are in dilemma to release the films. Every political move now seems very tough for a Telugu movie.

With the big holiday season looming ahead, Aug 7th was targeted by everyone. Sensing the T-effect Dil Raju acted wisely and escaped the ripple effects of T-state announcement by postponing Yevadu release for Aug 21st. Now since the T-state has been announced, will Pawan Kalyan also move the dates of Attarintiki Daredi release is a question on everyone’s mind? If the news from our filmnagar birdie is true, then Attarintiki Daredi will be released on Aug 21st. If so what will be the fate of ‘Yevadu’? Will Dil Raju stay grounded and go for his release on the same day? If they want to escape the euphoria of T-state formation, it is not just Yevadu and Attarintiki Daredi, but the entire movie releases have to be postponed.

Though 70% of the key people of Tollywood are from non-Telangana region, 45% of the revenue will be generated in Nizam (Telangana) and with the state’s bifurcation, there is an absolute chance of Business dynamics going high. Both states start Impending taxes on Telugu films. Lets wait and see how the Tollywood business unfolds because of this bifurcation.
