Swetha Basu Prasad, who was arrested on prostitution charges and sent to a rescue home, has been recently allowed to stay with her parents. The young actress has voiced out her version for the first time in a recent interview to a popular newspaper.

According to her, she was in the city to attend an award function and the corresponding accommodation was made by the organizers. She had to stay back at the hotel (Park Hyatt, the hotel where Swetha resided) on the night of the raid, as she missed her flight.

““I still have the ticket. I've been told that the agent has been arrested. The case is being investigated. I am a victim in the whole situation. There was a raid... I am not denying the incident. But the facts are not what they've been made out to be.””

She added that she was not allowed to at least speak to her parents while in the custody. Well, Swetha looked absolutely confident and expressed faith over her comeback into films. She thanked the entire film industry for their support. While filmmakers like Hansal Mehta, Vishal Bharadwaj and others have already expressed their wish to cast her in their films, she asserted that she would not want to accept any role offered out of sympathy.

“I haven't yet got a call from him. I'd like to audition for Hansal Mehta and get the role only if I am suitable for it” said Swetha Basu Prasad.

She’ll shortly resume the post-production work of her documentary on Indian Classical Music.
