Call it the dearth of original ideas or a smart way of working, a new trend has picked up strongly in film industry and that is too pick up successful and interesting ideas from neighbouring industries and remake/dub them. From Tollywood’s perspective, their best bet has always been with Kollywood and its films.

Now, the news from filmnagar circles is about a Tamil film which has caught the attention of many Tollywood members. The film is titled ‘Rajatantram’ and recently the trailer was unveiled which struck a chord with our cine circles. Some young heroes are already enquiring on the content and making costs.

And if it is good they want to do the remake. This is nothing new because in the past Manchu Vishnu did the remake of the Tamil movie Arima Nambi while Current Theega was a remake of Tamil movie Varuthapadaatha Vaalibar Sangham. Even Marathi cinema is making inroads and a new film ‘Andhra Pori’ is coming which is a remake of ‘Timepass’. For now, the focus is on this new Tamil project
