The funda is, music director will not charge for composing music and songs but instead he takes the entire audio rights on his name. He will bring aspiring singers and music technicians and will get the work done with such enthusiasts for almost free cost.
The audio rights become his remuneration because usually producers sell it to audio companies. Nowadays even audio companies are not taking but with this new approach, music directors will take whatever remuneration comes from audio company and then revenue comes with IPRS system. The music director will also take care of lyricists and that way they are becoming music producers since their investment is talent. This is working strongly for small and medium range movies.
