Kick 2 is an upcoming entertainer starring Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and the pretty looking Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. This film is produced by action hero Kalyan Ram from the Nandamuri family. Thaman, who scored music for the earlier Kick has composed music for this album as well. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The album marks its interesting beginnings with Mummy- one of the funniest songs of recent times as far as lyrics are concerned. The contemporary House mix and dub step beats are brilliantly matched for this incredibly energetic number. The typical attitude of the hero is presented in the musical way with perfect fashion in this one.

It is time for a cool sounding duet Nuvve Nuvve which has irresistible traces to Thaman’s earlier hit Gala Gala from Allu Arjun’s Race Gurram. Despite these similarities, the song is wonderfully presented with remarkable usage of strings, guitar touches and lazy rhythm section. Lyrics by Varikuppala Yadigiri deserve a neat mention for this song.

Janda Pai Kapiraju is perhaps the star of this album because of its unpretentious take on philosophy, revenge and heroics in a musical fashion. The fresh vocals, amazing aura and coolness makes it a brilliant hearing. The obvious yet intelligent folk flavor adds like an icing on the cake.

Thaman decides to play on his advantage with a rhythm based song Masthana Masthana next which has superior vocal support from Deepak and Mansi. The overall impact of this song is quite trendy and yet has the unmistakable melodious essence as well.

We get to taste the flavor of modern devotional music with Temple Song which is not typical for Thaman usually,. This track impacts the listener with its flawless classicism and remarkable expression in terms of neatly woven interludes and superior vocals as well. Sri Mani’s lyrics deserve a very special mention for this number.

The biggest celebration is saved until finale with the title song Kick which celebrates the film’s high voltage and amazing energy levels of Ravi Teja’s character which fetched him so many fans.  Out of the two lead vocalists, it is Spoorthy who has a little edge with her fantastic vocals suiting this raw mass number.

Verdict:
Kick 2 meets the audience’s expectations for its right balance between classy tunes and mass numbers. It can be termed as a right successor for the earlier film Kick in this regard. However, Kick 2 even explores the introspective nature of life in a commercial angle!
