MAA's Donation to Chennai Floods turns Controversial

Chennai city that has fallen victim to nature’s fury is witness the magic of humanity. Everyone is stepping forward and contributing their part in helping the needy in the devastated city.

Coming to the news, Telugu Movie Artists Association (MAA) announced Rs 5 Lakhs to the Flood Relief fund. Already Nadigar Sangam (their counterpart in TN) is actively participating in the flood relief activities. Generally actors individually make individual donations but this time Telugu film industry, MAA association announced a donation during a natural calamity like this. While some industry onlookers opine that a big association like MAA announcing such a meager amount is absolutely shameful, some say this is the first time MAA is making a donation in spite of low funds.  

Well some of our Telugu film personalities like Rajamouli, Manchu Lakshmi, Rana and other actors are already collecting the necessary food items, water and medicine under an initiative called #ManaMadrasKosam. This will be shifted through a transport system that shall start from Ramanaidu Studios this Sunday.
