We have two categories of female leads in our showbiz world. While one category wins the love of audience with their sizzling looks and stylish appearances, the other category grows closer with acting talent, girl next door looks and refreshing simplicity. Nitya Menen belongs to the second category! She can bring difference to a scene with just her presence and one of those very few non-telugu actresses who can dub her own voice and even sing great!

Nitya has had a wonderful year this time with the super success of Mani Ratnam’s Ok Bangaram and also as a limp girl in Lawrence’s Ganga Muni 3. But as the end of the year is approaching, she took another daring step which many heroines are wary to do!

This bubbly actress made her Kannada debut with 7o Clock in the year 2006. But now, she is acting in a Kannada-Tamil bilingual Mudinja Ivanai directed by popular filmmaker K.S.Ravikumar. This film has Sudeep of Eega fame as the hero and as per sources, the film will have an intro song for Nitya instead of Sudeep!

Intro song for a female lead happens in quite rare occasions as it is a hero centric industry.  Yesteryear actress Jyotika earned many fans by doing such intro songs in Tamil films Kushi and Dumm Dumm Dumm. It would be brilliant to see Nitya feature in such a song reviving this tradition.
