Film Industry Mourns Director's Death

Popular South Indian filmmaker Rajesh Pillai (41) is no more.
 
The eminent director breathed his last this Feb 27 (Sat) at a private hospital in Kochi due to serious ill health. Rajesh Pillai has been reportedly suffering from Non-alcoholic fatty liver ailment from the past one year. He was admitted to hospital many a time in the recent past due to ill health and doctors even advised him Liver Transplantation. But Rajesh postponed the surgery for the sake of his ongoing film shooting and unfortunately he breathed his last a day after his latest film Vettah released. He is survived by his spouse Mekha.
 
Rajesh Pillai made just five films (Hridayathil Sookshikkan, Traffic, Mili, Hindi remake of Traffic & Vettah) in his career so far but emerged as one of the most promising Malayalam film directors.
