NDMC chairman Naresh Kumar said that the main reason behind choosing Sanjay Dutt for this campaign is his iconic image and following in youth. Sources also say that Sanjay Dutt is absolutely delighted and humbled by this offer from the NDMC!

However, few eyebrows rose over the municipal council’s decision to make an acquitted star like Sanjay the brand ambassador for initiatives like Swacch Bharat & Smart City campaigns. We will have to see whether Sanjay Dutt would be able to successfully carry out this esteemed responsibility.
