Whenever a star hero’s film releases in Tollywood, it becomes a boon as well as curse for fans. The boon is because they can rejoice their favorite hero’s film on silver screen and celebrate the success but the curse arrives when people get into physical assaults in the name fans!

With the release of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh yesterday, most of the halls in Telugu states are thronged with the fan world and being a festival weekend, the numbers doubled! Sadly, a fan hailing from Paavagada, Tumakuru district was killed in a mishap. 20yr old Rakesh and tea stall owner Ravi are huge Pawan Kalyan fans and they went to Alankaar theatre to watch the flick yesterday afternoon. When a group led by Ravi raised slogans objecting view for the back seats, they had a heated argument. Unable to restrain his anger, Ravi stabbed Rakesh with a nail cutter knife that slit the latter's nerve.

Rakesh was reportedly dead even before taking to the hospital and the film’s screening was stopped. The theatre management paid the victim’s kin a compensation of Rs 2.5 lakhs. Well this is something that hurts even Pawan Kalyan too!
