Controversies and politics are an inherent part of any cultural association and now it would be shocking to see the same trend continue in America as well! And associations like ATA, NATA etc are prestigiously organizing various events every year and carrying the legacy forward. However this year ATA experienced the wrath of artists’ fury like none before. Earlier it was Burning Star Sampoornesh Babu for allegedly ill-treating him and now it is popular Telangana folk singer, MLA and Cultural Department Chairman Rasamayi Balakishan.

Going into the details, Balakishan was irked with the treatment of ATA organizers. It was the time for maestro Mani Sharma’s musical concert and as soon as the anchor knew there would be a delay, he invited Balakishan to sing in the meanwhile to manage the gap.

Eminent artist and Balakishan got furious by this improper invitation and announced that there shall be no Telangana cultural performance in ATA hereon.
This is indeed a big blow to a prestigious organization like ATA. Let us see if these wounds heal for them!
