The young and talented director Nag Ashwin proved his worth with a spiritual film Yevade Subramanyam and now chose an interesting subject for a film 'Mahanati' which features the life story of Mahanati Savitri. This film is produced by ace producer Ashwini Dutt who is known for stunning production values.
Coming to the storyline of the film, it would naturally have the presence of legendary contemporaries of Savitri such as Sr NTR and ANR. Apparently, Nag Ashwin is planning to rope in Naga Chaitanya for the role of ANR and Jr NTR for the role of Sr NTR to get more star value to the film. As Ashwini Dutt shares great friendship with both these influential families, things look quite positive that they would be a part of this prestigious project.
Initially, another ace producer Dil Raju planned to remake the classic film Gundamma Kadha with Jr NTR and Naga Chaitanya in lead roles but somehow it didn’t work out. It would be great to see these two stars come together for a prestigious film of this sort.
