The powerful role 'Sivagami' from Baahubali has travelled long after few rejections from popular names in the industry. Rajamouli himself revealed that timeless beauty Sridevi was also approached for the role but she rejected it. Interestingly, even the beautifully talented actress Tabu was approached for the same, however, it did not materialize. Well here is an interesting update about this.

Going into the details, the dynamic and talented actress Lakshmi Manchu confessed in a recent interview that even she was approached for Sivagami’s role! Lakshmi said that K.Raghavendra Rao’s son Prakash Kovelamudi called her regarding this offer and she said 'NO' not because she felt it would be currently inappropriate to act as mother for Prabhas! Lakshmi added that if it was any other role apart from mother of Prabhas, she would have readily accepted the offer. Well she also opined that if she was to give voice for the 'Sivagami' role, it would have been even more different and powerful! However, Lakshmi felt honored to have been offered what legends like Sridevi and Tabu were offered.

Anyhow Ramyakrishnan was destined to play the role of 'Sivagami'. Well Lakshmi Manchu could have pulled off the role? What do you think folks?
