Though cinema is an art and only those with passion come into this field, at the end of the day it has also become a business and runs like an industry. Tollywood is the second biggest in this country after Bollywood so the economical graph is key in this industry.
We have reached halfway of this year and it would come as a shocker but we have garnered a whopping Rs 2100 crores in just six months. The major contribution for that was the magnum opus Baahubali which flooded the box office with a mammoth 1700 plus crores.
Next to that is megastar Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 which took a 100 plus crores of share. There were also other hits such as Shatamanam Bhavati, Gautamiputra Satakarni, Raarandoi Veduka Chuddam, Ghazi and others. That way, this has become the highest grossing half year figure in Tollywood history.
