Among the 24 crafts of cinema, the riskiest and most challenging is film production. The reason being, this is the actual segment which deals with the money and when there is no money, one cannot even think of a film. These days, film production is just like buying a lottery ticket because we don’t know what will happen.

More than hope, despairs are there and on an average, just about 20 percent of movies actually work at the box office. As such, for star heroes, there is absolutely no problem. The worst hit is the medium and small budget. Incidentally, the percentage of these movies in the making is quite high and they constitute nearly 80 percent.

It is being noticed that all are entering the production circuit with the hope that it would become one ‘Pelli Choopulu’ or ‘Arjun Reddy’ which would change their fate overnight. But it is more like a lottery ticket wherein one in a hundred will work. At the end of the day, the producer is at loss and there are many who have come on roads.
