The overall effect of the trailer was quite average and when this report came out, the makers quashed it down citing the impact would be much higher in Tamil than in Telugu due to the nativity issues and other reasons.

Well, reports from Chennai reveal the situation is no different in Tamil Nadu. Apparently, the common opinion coming from many is, the trailer has raised no adrenaline because the director has not offered anything fresh in terms of content. It is being observed that director Pa Ranjith seems to be riding simply on the star power of Rajini.

As a result, he has been focusing mainly on exploiting the style and mannerisms of Rajini blending them with few punch dialogues. Well, if this is the format Ranjith has adopted he can be rest assured ‘Kaala’ will sink without a trace. Before the negative vibe sets in, it is better the makers cut a sharp trailer and release it soon.
