You can call it a sentiment or the very content that has failed to appeal but then, after a superb summer which saw big hits, things have not been great in the monsoon season. The month of June has so far not brought cheer to the Telugu Film Industry because some of the most promising movies ended up as duds.

First in the list is ‘Officer’ which brought back the lethal combination of King Akkineni Nagarjuna and the eccentric Ram Gopal Varma. However, the film ended up bringing the worst ever openings for both the men in their careers. Secondly, it is ‘Kaala’ featuring Style Samrat Rajinikanth. His movies are always tornadoes at the box office.

However, ‘Kaala’ ended up going downwards and right from the first show it got negative talk. Last but not the least, there were high expectations on the Hollywood flick ‘Jurassic World – Fallen Kingdom’ but even this movie has evoked lukewarm response with critics giving a thumbs down. All in all, the situation has been bad so far so let us wish things improve as the month progresses.
