Speaking about the big boys of the Telugu Film Industry, the name of Daggubati Suresh Babu stands first in the list. Many say the razor sharp and shrewd Suresh Babu has an iron grip on the theatre network and distributors. His acumen towards business of cinema is phenomenal and he is more like an institution than just a regular cinema person.

However, in the recent times, the Daggubati family came in spotlight due to the Sri Reddy issue and casting couch controversy. It is only recently Suresh Babu responded to that citing media and industry didn’t handle it properly. He reportedly mentioned that Hollywood has a system of working only with select media entities and it could happen in India as well.

Well, many say it has worked in Hollywood but it will take a long time to see that happening here in Telugu industry. Working with restricted media in India is very tough. The fourth estate is very powerful and here, we have people whose mentality is to share whatever trash comes to them more than relying on mainstream media and verifying its authenticity. We can only wish Suresh Babu’s utopian dreams come true.
