Baahubali Prequel To Be Directed By Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru

Baahubali, one of the biggest movies of Telugu film industry, which has taken Indian cinema to a global level, is now getting a prequel. The prequel is going to be an adaptation from the book- The rise of Shivagami. This prequel is going to be a web series which is a Netflix original.

"You witnessed the Mahishmati Empire in all its glory. Now witness its rise. Baahubali: Before the Beginning coming soon," tweeted Netflix India.

The season 1 is expected to have nine episodes in the first season and will be directed by Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru, one of the budding, yet successful directors of T’town.

Deva Katta thanked Baahubali film director SS Rajamouli, Netflix India, and Arka media works for giving him the opportunity to direct the series. "Thrilled, humbled, challenged, excited and a bit nervous all at once! Thank you Praveen Sattaru for joining hands in sharing this immense responsibility," the Prasthanam director tweeted.

Deva Katta is busy remaking Prasthanam, the Telugu film in Hindi and Bengali. The director has even won Filmfare award for Prasthanam. Praveen Sattaru has bagged a hit with Garuda Vega which released last year and was a blockbuster here. Praveen also won a national award for his film Chandamama Kathalu.

As these two big directors join hands to make a visual wonder, Baahubali fans keep their fingers crossed.
