And now the film is being remade in all the four South Indian languages. What’s interesting is that the Malayalam remake has a Telugu connection.

Well-known director Neelakanta who has helmed some notable films in Telugu, one of them being Show that also got him a national award, is in charge of this version, marking his Malayalam debut. Titled Zam Zam, the film stars Manjima Mohan as the female lead, reprising the role of Kangana Ranaut. Very recently, the teasers of all the four South Indian remakes were released much to a positive response.

As for the Malayalam version, everyone is appreciating how the teaser wreaks an element of freshness despite being a remake. The trailer and film release will happen pretty soon. Also starring Shibani Dandekar, Sunniven, Baiju and Mutthumani, the film has been made on an elaborate scale.
