We hear that the titles of ’96 remake are going to be Janaki Devi and Jaanu. This film is going to have Sharwanand and Samantha Akkineni as the lead pair. The titles were recently announced by Dil Raju at a press meet, but looks like Sharwanand is pretty unhappy about the titles.

It seems he said that it looks like a female-oriented film. Well, what he said is also quite true as it is a love story of two childhood friends who parted ways. The film is being directed by Prem Kumar who directed the original version of 96. But basically, Dil Raju is not someone who will not take a decision without contacting other members of his team. We have to wait and see what would happen. 

The team of the film will start shooting for the film from April and it is still in the pre-production stage.
