There are no big hits for Balakrishna in 2017's Pongal release Gautami Putra Shatakarni. Back to back flops (Jai Simha, Paisa Vasool and NTR biopic) are haunting the actor. Also, there are no big expectations from his next film 'Ruler', which is being helmed by KS Ravi Kumar. Not many distributors are showing interest to put their money to buy Ruler. They're backing away from the project because of the box-office fate of Balayya films in the recent years.
However, fans and audiences hope to see him strike back with his upcoming project which is going to be directed by Boyapati Srinu. Yes, the collaboration of Balakrishna and Boyapati has worked very well in the past. Boyapati, who made Simha and Legend with Balayya, is going to partner with the actor for third time and fans are sure that this collaboration will score the hat-trick with another blockbuster.
