Perhaps the tensest and stress-causing position in the film industry is that of a director because at every given stage he needs to manage, balance things with everything and everyone so that his film comes out properly without hassles. While making a film and completing it is one thing, getting it to the theatres is another Herculean task.
But the woes don’t stop there. If you don’t get the right slot for release you are doomed. All this seems to be engulfing director Maruthi now. It is known that Maruthi is arriving with the movie ‘Prati Roju Pandagaroje’ featuring Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej on December 20th. As it is, he is clashing with ‘Ruler’ featuring Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna.
Now, the tension has doubled because reports are arriving the much anticipated ‘Venky Mama’ has decided to hit the screens on December 25th as Christmas release. Being a family entertainer, it is bound to draw huge crowds and this would certainly put a dent to Maruthi’s film. We can only hope ‘Prati Roju…’ gets an excellent talk to withstand this.
