Venkatesh is super confident that Narappa is going to be loved by audiences. During the promotions of Venky Mama, the actor spoke about stepping into the shoes of Dhanush and remaking the film.

He said, “Many are already saying that I cannot live up to the expectations of the audiences and do justice to the role. Many of my colleagues from the film industry have even advised me not to do this film. But I am someone who liked to take challenges. So all I took was just thirty minutes to decide and say yes to the role.” Netizens on social media have started comparing Venkatesh to Dhanush and say that ‘Real Asuran is Dhanush’. But Venkatesh is sure of how Narappa is going to be.

To be directed by Srikanth Addala of Brahmotsavam fame, the film has Priyamani as the leading lady and she will be seen stepping into the shoes of Manju Warrier. Initially, it was said that Shriya Saran will be playing the role, but now, reports suggest that Priyamani is on the board.
