The dialogue “Nuvvu Nanda aithe enti, Nen Badri…Badrinath” still sets our hearts aflutter. One of Tollywood’s most iconic films, 'Badri' turns 20 years old today, 20 April. The film is remembered for Pawan Kalyan's ease and stellar acting as agent director, Ameesha Patel's portrayal as 'Sarayu', an evergreen music album by Ramana Gogula and most importantly, Puri Jagannath's brilliant direction.

'Badri' still holds a very special place in all our hearts. On its 20th anniversary, fans of Pawan Kalyan and Puri are trending #2DecadesOfBlockBusterBadri on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. The cowboy look and mannerisms of Kalyan in 'Yeh Chikitha' song stand out for fans.

Puri Jagannath made his directorial debut with Badri. It is known that Puri Jagannath has approached Pawan and narrated this script. Kalyan gave him a chance to make his directorial debut after a couple of narrations. The film ran successfully for 50 days in 85 centers and 100 days in 47 centers. Renu Desai also made her Telugu debut with Badri. In the movie, she played a bubbly role who challenges Pawan to impress and make Sarayu as his girlfriend.

Though the actress had very little screentime, she later catapulted her to instant fame and married Powerstar. Interestingly, after Badri, Pawan and Renu Desai shared screen space in Johnny and Puri directed the actor after 12 years - Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu.
