'Khaidi' is undoubtedly one of the most memorable super hit films in Kollywood hero Karthi's career. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film became the biggest blockbuster not only in Kollywood but also in Tollywood.

After the tremendous success of 'Khaidi', the makers have been hinting that there will be a sequel for the film. Recently, the makers have announced the much-awaited sequel for 'Khaidi' titled 'Khaidi 2'. On the other hand, 'Khaidi' is supposed to get remade in Hindi as well. But according to the latest reports, both the remake as well as the sequel of the film got halted because of the controversy regarding the story of the film. A person who hails from Kerala has recently filed a petition against 'Khaidi' producer SR Prabhu claiming that it is his story and demanded the makers to give him a compensation of 4 crores.

He has sent the court notices to the producer and requested not to start the sequel and the remake. We have to wait and see how the makers of 'Khaidi' are going to respond to this and what will be the final call of the court.
