Natural Star Nani is currently shooting for a comedy-drama titled Ante Sundaraniki. Directed by Vivek Athreya of Brochevarevarura fame, this movie features Nazriya Nazim as the female lead. It marks Nazriya's debut in Telugu.

If the ongoing grapevine is anything to go by, Nani will play the role of a gay in this movie. Generally, gay characters are written poorly in Telugu cinema. But it is heard that Vivek Athreya sketched Nani's role in a sensible way with good comical elements. The makers are confident that this movie will definitely remain one of the memorable ones in the actor's career.

On the flip side, Nani was last seen in Tuck Jagadish, which had a direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video. His next release Shyam Singha Roy is currently in the post-production stages. The makers are planning to release it towards the end of this year. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Shyam Singha Roy features Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty as the female leads.
