Bollywood has been going through a rough patch over the last few months. None of its biggies is able to become successful at the box office. Meanwhile, the success of South Indian flicks like Pushpa, RRR, and KGF 2 have hurt the Hindi film folks a lot.

The major portion of KGF 2's collections has come from the North Indian belt. The Hindi version of this movie got more than Rs. 353 crore nett., which is higher than Bollywood hits like Tiger Zinda Hai, Sanju, and PK.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF 2 features Yash in the lead role. Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon played other important roles in the movie.

Before KGF, it was RRR and Pushpa that minted big money from the North box office. This clearly shows that the Hindi audience changed their taste and wanted more films that are action-oriented and heavily rooted in native regions.
