VV Vinayak decided to turn a lead hero with the film Seenayya. Dil Raju was supposed to produce the project. Though it was launched grandly, the film was shelved midway because Dil Raju was unhappy with the outcome.

After that, Vinayak dropped the idea of acting and started his next directorial project with Bellamkonda Sreenivas, which happens to be the Hindi remake of Chatrapathi.

According to the sources, Vinayak is shifting his focus back to acting. A new director narrated a story to Vinayak and the latter has been impressed by it. The shoot is expected to begin soon. More details about the project may get announced in the coming days.

Vinayak made some cameo appearances in his films in the past. He never acted in a full length role.
