More Stories

The highly-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster hit “Pushpa: The Rise,” titled “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” has been making headlines for its grand production ambitions.

Director Sukumar renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, had originally planned to shoot parts of the movie in Malaysia and Japan. However, due to time constraints and budgetary considerations, the production team has opted to recreate these international settings within India.

Challenges and Adaptations

The production team aimed to complete filming by August 15th. After extensive location scouting in Bangkok, Malaysia, and Japan, it became clear that shooting abroad would not be feasible within the set timeframe. Additionally, the team wanted to make specific modifications to the locations to reflect the late 90s and early 2000s era depicted in the film.

Innovative Solutions

To address these challenges, Sukumar and his team decided to construct detailed sets in Hyderabad, particularly at Ramoji Film City. The art director has been entrusted with recreating the essence of Malaysia and Japan, focusing on capturing the vintage aesthetic. While a significant portion of the scenes will be filmed on these sets, the remaining parts will be enhanced and extended through computer graphics (CGI).

Release Date

"Pushpa 2: The Rule" is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 15th, 2024. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the movie stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Fasil.
