Following the controversy at the pre-release event of "Gangs of Godavari," producer Naga Vamsi continued with the film's promotions through a press interaction. When questioned about the absence of a special screening, implying a lack of confidence in the film, Vamsi delivered a pointed response.

Naga Vamsi's Stand on Day-One Screenings

Naga Vamsi firmly addressed the reviewers, stating, “If you are a reviewer, buy the ticket, watch my film, and then post the review. Why is it that I have to give the ticket for you to review my film?” He explained that the choice to hold a special screening on Saturday was to offer a unique experience for families. “The media is also part of the industry, so I want them to come with their families and watch the film on a Saturday evening. If you do not wish to come, you don’t have to,” Vamsi added.

Vishwak Sen's Proposal for Media Screenings

Lead actor Vishwak Sen, present at the press meet, proposed an unconventional approach for media screenings. “I want to break the pattern,” Sen declared, suggesting that the media should be divided into three groups, each watching the film in different theatres. “Sometimes you people watch some good films silently. Please watch the movie with the audience instead; you can also enjoy it,” he explained. While Naga Vamsi seemed unconvinced, he smiled as Sen attempted to persuade the media.

The Gangs of Godavari Film

"Gangs of Godavari" is a Telugu film featuring Vishwak Sen, Neha Shetty, and Anjali in the lead roles. Written and directed by Krishna Chaitanya and produced by Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner, the film explores the rise of gangs in India’s Eluru and Godavari coastal districts. Vishwak Sen portrays Lankala Rathna, a local man who ascends to prominence in the Godavari district.

Gangs of Godavari is now showing in theatres, having been released on May 31.
