iQlik Movies Rating: 2.25

Sree Vishnu who is noted as one of the talented actors in the Telugu film industry always tries to be unique with his script selection. The actor constantly rediscovers himself with new scripts. Meanwhile, he is currently hoping to score a big hit with his latest film titled Alluri which was released yesterday. The film's release got delayed with no morning and noon shows in many places. However, check out the film's review here.

Story:
Alluri Seetha Rama Raju (Sree Vishnu) is a successful police officer whose journey is extremely inspiring. Naseeruddin (Tanikella Bharani) is a constable who worked under Seetha Rama Raju. As his son constantly fails to become a police officer, to motivate him, Naseeruddin tells his son Iqbak the life story of Rama Raju. What did Rama Raju achieve in his life? What all challenges did he face during his job? What and how did his life and career shape up? forms the rest of the story.

Performances:
Sree Vishnu played the role of a cop in the film. The actor put up a good show as a powerful police officer. For all those who have seen Sree Vishnu as a lover boy or guy next door, this is a big transformation that will impress everyone.

The film is his one-man show. Kayadu Lohar is good as per the limitations of her character. Seasoned actor Tanikella Bharani impressed well and his performance is good too. Suman and Raja Ravindra did well. The rest of the cast made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:
The background score by Harshavardhan Rameshwar is very good but the audio album failed to impress. The camera work is good in parts.

The editing is neat but the runtime could also have been pulled down to eliminate the boring sequences of the film. The production design is okay. The dialogues are good. The production values of the film are nice.

Review:
The director managed to score well in executing some scenes well. For instance, the scenes with Naxals and the fight sequences have come out well. What shocks everyone is the climax which was in the discussion for quite some time. The hard-hitting climax will move everyone emotionally but it may also draw mixed responses.

The film's screenplay is a big drawback. The director does not have an extraordinary plot in hand but the way it was executed is a little problematic. The romantic track did not work well and the emotional aspect also went for a toss. The violence could have been toned down too. The film has a very good idea but it failed to get translated into a nice movie, unfortunately.

Plus Points:
Sree Vishnu's Performance
Climax

Minus Points:
Weak Plot
Screenplay

Final Verdict: Alluri aims big but falls short.
