The recent news of the Indian actress Kareena Kapoor-Khan been honored by the House of Commons. Kareena Kapoor Khan born on 21st September 1980, daughter of actors Randhir and Babita Kapoor, is counted as a rare actress who has won critical as well as popular acclaim. She is noted for playing a variety of characters in a range of films from comedy to romantics. She made an acting debut by ‘Refugee’ in 2000 which were then followed by many award winning films such as ‘Ashoka’, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, ‘Omkara’, ‘ Chameli’, ‘Dev’, ‘Jab We Met’, ‘ 3 Idiots’, ‘Golmaal 3’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Ra- one’, and the 2009 thriller movie which gave a critical acclaim ‘Kurbaan’ and 2012 drama ‘Heroine’. The actress got married to an actor Saif-Ali Khan in 2012. Other than working as an actress she has been working for many humanitarian philanthropic endeavors. Working as fundraiser for the World Youth Peace Summit in 2005, fundraising for the Indian Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami affected in 2004. This was announced at the launch of Newspaper’s London Edition, which took place at the house of commons on 29th October. The actress was honored by cross-party politicians, on behalf of British Government. Leading NRI MP Rt Hon Keith Vaz, Chairman of Britain’s Home Affairs Committee, presented her a golden coloured plaque frame. The honors declared of Britain being humble and loyal to Kareena which was recollected and thanked by the Indian Actress which concluded the ceremony.
