Rudhramadevi is an upcoming Telugu movie which will be the first historic film in 3D. The film is being made under the direction of Gunasekhar and we will see Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati in the lead roles. In this most anticipated film, Mahesh Babu will be seen making a cameo as a warrior prince. The lead actress, Anushka Shetty will be seen as queen of the Kakatiya dynasty, Rudrama Devi. The film’s soundtrack is composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
The making of the movie
The movie is going on a fast pace. The film will start shooting in a district named Adilabad. The film is based on a commanding ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty, Rani Rudrama Devi. Lately, a new schedule of the film has commenced and the film crew will be shooting certain key sequences near Kuntala waterfalls in the district. For the shoot, a unique set has been constructed near the waterfalls. The expected date of completion of the shooting is March, 2014.
Every actor in the film including the crew is working hard towards the success of the film. The actress, Anushka Shetty is working on losing 10 to 15 kilos of weight to portray the role of the powerful princess.
As per the news, the Telugu actress, Anushka Shetty got stuck with the fiasco of Varna and thus, moving on to the sets of the historical performance Rudhramadevi.
Search for junior Anushka
According to latest news, the director of the movie is hunting for Junior Anushka who will play the teenager role of Rudrama Devi. It is heard that the director is searching for 16 years old to play the role but the search went in vain. The latest buzz is that Gunasekhar is now trying to get in a foreigner girl for the role.
As per the sources, the foreigner girl looks quite similar to Anushka and her expressions and language compatibility are the biggest challenge for the film crew. Yet the decision has to be made and still the director has expressed his doubts about casting the foreigner for the teenage role of Rudrama Devi.
Previous approach of Gunasekhar
It is also whispered that the director had earlier loomed a popular television anchor for the same role and had also done the photo shoots with her but things didn’t shape up well at later stages. Now, the director of films like Okkadu and Arjun is also looking for all probable options. Till date, the role of teenage Rudrama Devi remains unrequited.

Since the shooting of the film is yet to start, tollywood people had doomed this act as altering the pictures of the film Arundhati. A year later that incident, the director finally came out with the original look of the much awaited movie.
