SS RAJAMOULI: Baahubali dosen’t have an international cast

The big news: –

It is time to bust the myth for the Telegu movie industry. Since long the rumour that Baahubali the much awaited SS Rajamouli film would have an international cast in it’s kitty, was doing the rounds. It took such a big dimension that almost everyone in the film industry was seemingly speaking about it. However, the very honest and straight forward SS Rajamouli did not hesitate to take the cat out of the bag and in fact made a very candid announcement to end the rumours.

The candid confession: –Baahubali dosen’t have an international cast

The rumours that had been doing the rounds were very specific and stated that Nathan Jones, the famous Australian actor was supposed to be a part of the film. SS Rajamouli however rubbished the rumours that the actor who was part of well known films such as “Troy” and “Conan the barbarian” was supposed to be acting in the film. In fact the presence of, or the rumour thereof about the presence of a specialised and experienced actor in the highly anticipated period drama Baahubali would have done tonnes for its promotion but the candid statement did much more to the image of the film maker and his ambitious project.
Twitter has now become the platform for announcement for any film maker, actor or public personality, due to its far reaching potential. It is thus no surprise that SS Rajamouli chose the Twitter to announce the fact that his project is not including any international actor and would be just confined to a national cast only. This is quite an important announcement in view of the fact that Baahubali is not a film meant to be a cheapskate; in fact this film is highly ambitious and widely anticipated not just because of its story line but also because of the huge amount of monetary investment associated with it. It is starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati, well known and arguably famous faces in both the Telegu film industry and Bollywood. The magnanimous nature of the film is not limited till here, but it also includes the fact that the film is aimed at various target market across India. To make the target easily reachable the film will be initially made in Tamil and Telegu cinema simultaneously. Afterwards it will also be dubbed into Hindi and other important Indian languages. The film will thus makeup for the fact that there is a conspicuous absence of an international actor, by presenting some well known actors across the country and building up a formidable action plan.

Conclusion: –
SS Rajamouli has had quite a dramatic rise to fame in South Indian and subsequently in Bollywood. In fact his renowned film “Eega” was remade in Bollywood, and was renamed as “Makkhi”. This remake was widely accepted and won the critical appreciation of many. His other claim to fame was the Ajay Devgan starrer “Son of sardar”, which was a comedy film with a twist. This was also a remake of one of SS Rajamouli’s masterpiece “Maryada Ramanna”. It is thus natural that his forth coming film would be at the centre of many such rumours as the anticipation around the film grows.
