The Rivalry for Top SpotShruti’s steal Asin’s thunder

Shruti Haasan’s entry into Bollywood has created a sudden impact and awareness among the entire south Indian actress in the Hindi film industry. The first one to get effected was Asin who is replaced by Shruti Hasan in one of her upcoming movies. Asin was one of the leading actresses in the Kollywood industry before she shifted to the tinsel town of Mumbai following his blockbuster debut in the Amir Khan starrer “Ghajni”. Asin was the first selection for the female prime role in an upcoming comedy film “Welcome Back”, a sequel of the smashing movie “Welcome” which was open at large in the year 2007. However, Anees Bazmee recently substituted Asin with Shruti who made an astounding re-entry into Bollywood movies through Ramaiya Vastavaiya and D-Day this year.

Though Ramaiya Vastavaiya and D-Day were not among the profitable movies in the box office, Shrut’s performance was praised a lot and she got the attention of many notable Bollywood filmmakers. When she was approached by the director of Welcome Back, she gave a positive nod much to the disliking of Asin.

 Future of Asin

Asin has two upcoming projects including Mere Apne (opposite Abhishek Bachchan) and No Entry Mein Entry (opposite Salman Khan). Of these two ventures, No Entry Mein Entry is directed by Bazmee who has shifted the movie indefinitely from working on Welcome Back. Moreover, Anees have not yet managed an approval from Salman Khan. Incidentally; Asin has played the lead role in a very limited number of Hindi movies despite a huge debut. Just when she was trying to stable things up, she was replaced by Shruti in Welcome Back, which is predicted to be a hit movie.

Shruti’s Projects

Welcome Back has an amazing star cast composed of Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, is produced by Firoz A Nadiadwala. The music department has been controlled by Anand Raj Anand and Himesh Reshammmiya.

Shruti is currently busy in shooting for Telugu movie Race Gurram (opposite Allu Arjun) under the direction of Surender Reddy.  The upcoming Telegu releases for this telegu actress are Yevadu (opposite Ram Charan Teja) and another film opposite Junior NTR.  She has also agreed to be a part of another Hindi movie Gabbar (opposite Akshay Kumar). She is yet to comment about the Asin situation and is enjoying her prime days.
