The samantha tweet controversy over an upcoming film

South Indian film actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, has recently been the centre of a lot of controversy, owing to a recent Tweet by her. In her Tweet, she mentioned having seen the poster of an upcoming Telegu film, and commented that she found the poster regressive. Although she did not mentioned the name of the film whose poster she had seen or targeted her Tweet towards, the fans of superstar, Mahesh Babu, assumed that she had referred to a particular poster of his upcoming movie named 1: Nenokkadine, featuring Prince and KritiSason. In the poster, the actress is seen crawling behind the actor, while the latter looks down at her dismissively. The fans were outraged by this comment and created a tag, #GetLostSamanthaandSiddharth, referring to Samantha and her beau and South Indian actor, SiddharthSuryanarayanan. This hashtag was created by the angry fans of Mahesh Babu to spread hatred against Samantha and Siddharth as a protest against her remark, though there was no proof as to which film’s poster the Tweet was about.
Assumptions that Samantha’s Tweet was a reaction to the poster of 1: Nenokkadine led to this hashtag which received 19432 Tweets within a span of just 12 hours. Thus, Samantha’s Tweet and the reactions to it took the film industry by quite a storm. However, to other fans of the industry, it is unclear as to why her comment has led to such an outrage, since she has not even named the movie. In fact, Samantha’s fans have created a hashtag called #WeLoveSamantha, and this has actually beaten the other hateful Tweet. Fans, in fact, are praising her for being gutsy enough to speak up.The samantha tweet controversy over an upcoming film

Siddharth, who has been dragged into this mess by the fans through no fault or behaviour of his own, commented on Twitter that, using a powerful tool like Twitter should not be used for or destroyed ugly and hateful attacks upon someone for expressing his or her own opinion. He tweeted that, everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, and the others should learn to pay respect to that instead of condemning someone for a different opinion, or writing hate messages, as that is downright bullying, or even terrorism. His closing message was for the haters to leave behind their hatred or not be a part of their life. However, Siddharth’s way of defending his beau has not been taken too well by the film goers. They were hurt for being referred to as terrorists. As a result, the hasgtag to spread hatred against the couple started receiving hits much more than before. These exchanges of Tweets have created quite a stir in the South Indian film industry. But, one of the greatest confusions at the moment is regarding why neither of the two has given any response to these. Yes, Samantha has been completely unavailable for any comment in this regard, and ever since his parting Tweet, so has Siddharth. It is a big question as to why the two have remained silent. It may also be assumed that Samantha will be further questioned about which film’s poster she meant and why he found it regressive. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed that she has some good answers prepared for such questions.
