Tollywood latest news mentioned that after he received Filmfare for Best Film (Critics Choice Award) for his movie Prasthanam, he acclaimed his position in Telugu movie industry. Right after that, his team approached Naga Chaitanya for this untitled movie which was to be directed by Deva Katta and the production was going to be Max India Productions. The film was about to start in 2011 but due to some financial issues it received a setback and later Naga Chaitanya got busy with the shooting of Dhada. This film was going to be the third directorial film by Deva Katta, but eventually became the fifth due to some unavoidable events. Finally, reputed portals of Telugu movie news confirmed that this film was launched officially on the Vijaya Dashami in the year 2011.
