Comedian M. S. Narayana’s daughter set to debut in films

It is common to see the sons and daughters of well-known actors and actresses to follow their parents’ lead and make a career in the film industry. SasiKiran, the daughter of Tollywood’s favourite comedian, M. S. Narayana, is no different. Sources have confirmed that she too, will be launched by her father in the film industry very soon. But, she stands apart from the crowd of star kids in the sense that she will be seen launching her career in the industry as a director and not as an actor. The shooting of her film which is yet to be named, has already been started. She is directing the remake of the Malayalam hit movie, ThattathinMarayathu, which was a musical romance starring NivinPauly as the male lead. She has roped in Sudhakar of Life is Beautiful fame to play the lead role in this film. Her father, M. S. Narayana, will be seen playing a very important role in the film.

SasiKiran who is said to have a good grip over literature, has been working with the MAA T.V. unit in the programming department, and was one of the anchors of the MEESTAR chat show. She has written her own stories and has finally started on her unnamed project with all new cast. Further details about the movie have not yet been divulged.

Narayana’s son, Vikram, has already been seen in the industry as a hero. He started his career with the film Kudoku, the directorial debut of Narayana. However, the film tanked, and Vikram’s career has been on hold. It is interesting to note that Narayana, himself, launched his own carer in the film industry as a writer before he took to acting as a comedian in the film, MaaNaanukuPelli. There has been no turning back for Narayana since his debut film. After a long and successful career on screen as a comedian, he decided to step behind the camera and debuted as a director in the film Kudoku, with which he launched his son’s career. However since the film failed to make a mark in the box office, Narayana’s directorial debut turned out to be a failure. He also directed a movie named Bhajantrilu in 2007, which also bounced at the box office. Now, his daughter, SasiKiran, has taken on a path breaking venture. The industry is now waiting to see if SasiKiran will emerge as a successful director and make her father proud.
