Rowdy was always in limelight in sparking the audiences expectations with the launch of the movie trailers and posters. Ram Gopal Verma film which was released on 4rth of April has received a hearty response from the movie lovers and has raised the bar of the Telegu cinemas. Mohan Babu and Vishnu Manchu’s performance was praised and continued to be the major attraction throughout the movie. Rowdy is basically an emotionally based family drama with a bit of action and other commercial elements put together in a completely Ram Gopal Verma style as a treat for the movie lovers.
Story in brief
The movie starts with the Rayalaseema setup which is quite typical. Mohan Babu is basically playing the role of a Godfather named as Anna Garu who is been married to Lakshmi, played by Jayasudha and is having two sons namely Bhushan and Krishna. The role of Krishna is being played by Vishnu Manchu. It has been depicted that Anna Garu is a very powerful figure and everybody including the politicians and other higher officials will be following his orders. In short there is a parallel government which is being ruled by him. Presently according to the movie scenario he is been working for a noble cause and is planning on putting an end to the government project which is going to create a bad effect on the lives of many. In the process he develops enmity with many around including the government officials. His two sons totally contradict each other in their behavior and also in the stand for this. His elder son stands against his father while the younger one (Krishna) stands up for his father. Their opponents take benefit of this situation and instigate Bhushan to assassinate his own father which fills the movie with a lot of action scenes. Vishnu and Mohan Babu continue their search to locate who is the culprit behind this whole thing and as a result of which the suspense is carried to the end of the film.
Artists and their Performance
• Mohan Babu- The main attraction of the movie has truly justified his role of a character in a rustic appearances which powerful personality on screen and heavy dialogue delivery. It’s definitely going to be one of those Awards winning performance.
• Vishnu Manchu- The very silent and realistic role is being played by him who turns out to be quite powerful and influential towards the end of the movie.
• Other characters like Jayasudha did marvelous acting for her age and the heroine Shanvi was seen in some shots was also quite marvelous in them. Kishore and Tanikella Bharani also did commendable on screen.
Technical and Music
It was a pure Ram Gopal Verma film in his style much like his Bollywood release Sarkar. He made sure that the camera is used in best possible way and the action scenes are intense. The two significant songs add beauty to this movie but the background music supports the movie and adds a new different charm.
After the breath taking climax most of the audiences are waiting for the sequel.
