KaaviyaThalavian is a Tamil movie brought to you by Y NOT Studios production house and Vasanthabalan as its director, this film is setup on the storyline of Musical theatres in Madurai. Rumours are there that this movie is based on real life incidents of K. B. Sundarambal and S. G. Kittappa. The cast has the muscular versatile angry police inspector of “Aurangzeb” PrithvirajSukumaran and the southern boy wonder Siddharth in lead roles along with Vedhicka, AnaikaSoti, and Nassar who are going to support these future industry superstar another treat which comes to you with this movie is the fabulous music of the sensational A. R. Rehman.

Madurai

Madurai has always been a great deal of cultural heritage and a musical play for the rulers and the high lords was one of the main attractions for the rich. Vasanthabalan read about this aspect of 20 th century and decided to make this movie but when you are making a historical movie, you need to know the facts about it, the post production was mainly spent in the historical research about the movie and artist from the different theatres which still exists in Madurai helped the cast and the director with the project. This genre movies are considered mostly sepia coloured when we go to Hollywood with different types of costumes which won’t be seen now, but in India we prefer to have a colourful past and its suits too. Even the other countries when they portray Asian countries, they show them much more coloured than their own province (and yes we are proud about that). Coming back to the movie, this colourful departments of costume designing and make up was led by PerumalSelvam, NiranjaniAgathiyan and Pattanam Rasheed.
