New Innings for Naga Chaitanya in Tollywood

Performance of Naga Chaitanya in new telugu movie ‘Manam’ is praised and loved by both audience and industry people. He is admired for his ease of performance and the matured way of acting in his family movie with his father and grandfather. With his a lot improved acting and the comedy timing in this film he has got the attention of audience and many film directors like Rajamuli and Ram Gopal Varma. It seems likes he is going to start a new innings in Tollywood film industry.

Biography:

Naga Chaitanya was born on Nov, 23 in year 1986. He is son of the actor cum producer Akkineni Nagarjuna. His grandfather,  Late Akkineni Nageshawara Rao was one of the stalwarts of Telugu Films. His motherly grandfather, D. Ramanaidu, is a well-known producer in the Tollywood film industry and also his parental uncle, Venkatesh is one of Tollywood’s leading stars.

Naga Chaitanya is an Indian telugu cinema actor who stars in Telugu films. He debuted in 2009 with his first Telugu film, ‘Josh’ by Vasu Varma in which he played a role of a college student. As a debutant, he performed well but he received moderate positive response from critics for the performance in his first film. Though a flop at box office, he secured for Best Male Debut Actor.

His next film was a romantic film ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ achieved moderate success. Film was directed by Gautham Menon. He played the role of a Hindu Telugu assistant director falls in love with a Malayali girl. Chaitanya received praise for his performance and chemistry with the opposite. Upon release he received a nomination for Film fare Award South for Best Actor Male.

After this film, he worked for his next film titled ‘100% Love’. The role of studious and egoistic college student played by him. Movie received positive reviews and again he got the tag of improved performance. This film was also a commercial hit at the Box Office.

Next film was ‘Dhada’ directed by director Ajay Bhuyan. The movie depicted the story of an engineering student who completes his studies in USA and return in another 10 days. But this film got negative reviews from critics and performance of Naga was not that much satisfied in this film. Film was ended up as a disaster at the Box Office.

His is last movie of that year was ‘Begawada’ directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film showed the convergence of a college student into gangster. Again this film also got negative reviews from critics calling it the worst film of Chaitanya. His facial expressions were the thing which was panned every time. Again as the last released film ended up as a Disaster at the Box office.

In year 2013 ‘Tadaka’ released and opened to positive responses from critics. The film was remake of the successful Tamil Film ‘Vettai’. After his last the two continuous flop films at Box Office, this film gave a much relief to Naga. The film was hit at the Box Office.

His latest film ‘Manam’ with his family members has got the best opening in Telugu films. And this film has given Chitanya a very good opportunity to start new innings as in this film he performed his best till now.
