A moment of pride and honour for the Telugu movies in 2014 as Kamalatho Naa Prayanam has been selected for the Riverside International film festival to be held in America, California. Kamalatho Naa Prayanam directed by Narasimha Nandi with actors Shivaji and Archana is a critically acclaimed film set in the back drop of 1950’s. Talking about the selection of Kamalatho Naa Prayanam at Riverside International film festival, the producers of the movie, Isanaka Sunil Reddy and Siddhartha Bogo on Livitha Universal Films, have announced the news and have expressed their glee and satisfaction. They even have plans to send the movie for different state, national and international awards as per Telugu movies 2014 news. It’s always been prestigious for films to be featured in Riverside International film festival and for Kamalatho Naa Prayanam being a regional Telugu movie of 2014, is no doubt a big achievement. Finding a place in a global film festival in itself is a prodigious glory for any regional film. Director of the film Narasimha Nandi earlier had made the movie 1940 Lo Oka Gramam which won the prestigious National Award and High School. Kamalatho Naa Prayanam too is been nominated at the Riverside International Film Festival as a Telugu movie of 2014.

Plot of the story 

The story is of a woman who struggles hard to get out of prostitution which she had to take up against her own wish and begin a new life and how she fights with obstacles coming on her way. How an upright wholesome guy, artist by profession comes up for this woman’s help and supports her in her battle. The tale of her scuffle has been wonderfully portrayed which comprises of her protest against the spleen and fury of many. At no point does the movie slips down to any unpleasant segment. During the announcement of the screening of the Telugu movie of 2014, the producers acclaimed the objective behind the production of the movie to be only quality cinema making and not profit earning. They were more than happy due to the screening of the movie in Riverside International film festival. In fact the entire cast and crew are highly delighted on such triumph.

Cast and Crew of the film 

Sivaji and Archana played the convincing lead roles in the movie while music director KK composed the amusing music for the film. Direction of cinematography has been in the charge of S. Murali Mohan Reddy who has delivered a masterly piece of work and the movie has been edited by V. Nagi Reddy. The profound labour of the movie makers has been rightly admired by the audience. Such international recognition for a regional movie will definitely uplift the standards of film makers of Telugu movies 2014.

A snip release of the film of Telugu movie 2014 will be made on 27th July, 2014 at the Riverside International film festival extending of about 100 minutes in its 12th year. The ten day festival will showcase approximately 70 films comprising of feature, short, documentary and animated films from across the globe. Events included the networking parties, red carpet, followed by screenings and premiers and then the after parties.
