US trade representatives’ talk to Telugu film industry about anti-piracy measures

A team of US trade representatives recently came in to India to meet with the A P Film Chamber of Commerce. Head of the Andhra Pradesh Film anti-piracy cell Mr. a Raj Kumar addressed the delegates from US and held a prolonged discussion session with them. As he said, the prime objective of the meeting was to talk about the measures of implementation of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and practise the law to avoid the problems of piracy from film industry. US delegates from Washington comprised of Michael J Delaney, who is the Assistant of US Trade Representative for South Asia and Mr. Dawn Shackleford, currently the deputy assistant of US trade representative.
The efforts of anti-piracy operation in Indian film industry in recent times have been highly appreciated by the US delegates.

In fact the endeavours of the anti-piracy cell located at Hyderabad waging against film piracy has been a reason of interest of the US delegates. This team of technicians have implemented high end tracking tools which obstructs any individual agent from distributing copies of the original reel in any market. Internet uploading of hall print copies of films has been brought under control by this team and US delegates were highly motivated observing the efficiency and structure of the work plan. They even have expressed their desire to bring in such concept for Hollywood films which in recent years have been a victim of piracy in a big way. This is a larger way has cut short the revenue which is expected to be generated by the release of a movie. Ever since the anti-piracy cell has begin its work in Telugu films in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, movie makers have started seeing faces of extra dividend. People who earlier used to prefer downloading films directly from internet and watch at home now tend to visit theatre halls and multiplexes to view the movie. As a recent updated report, this team of anti-piracy has achieved a big success by saving the Venkatesh starrer film “Drushyam” from being uploaded in internet by a certain group. Afterwards, the copies of the feature film have been sent to the lab for forensic tests so that the den of the piracy could be located.US trade representatives’ talk to Telugu film industry

The anti-piracy cell comprising of nearly 1300 members have launched a new app of its own kind to spread awareness amongst movie goers against film piracy. Because not only enforcement of law, but a wide spread of knowledge could possibly bring change in days to come. After the division of old Andhra Pradesh in to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, production of films there has become little difficult due to adverse political situation. But yet this team of anti-piracy is on its way to proceed with its mission. Their goal is not been affected in any ways. The main reason behind this is the team’s liberal take on the language of the films. They aim to achieve end of film-piracy indifferent of the fact of whichever language the film is made in.
