Some remakes of Malayalam Films

Earlier this year, Prakash Raj remade Aashiq Abu’s acclaimed Malayalam film named Salt N’ Pepper in Telugu. The Telugu film was named as Ulavacharu Biryani. After that it was felt that a deluge of new wave of Malayalam films will hit Tollywood industry. The Malayalam films are more likely praised and are making a new trend in watching of a film.

Other than that, the original Malayalam version of the film Drishyam, impressed the star cast of the film that he got ready to act in the remake. That the film had same actor in original as well as the remake. Actors as well as productions are focusing on content which is directly taken from a Malayalam film.

Drishan, How Old Are You, Bangalore days and North 24 Kaathan are a few names that have originally made in Malayalam and then dubbed in Telugu and gave a big hit in Tollywood.

Changes from Past to Present

It’s not that this is the new trend of making remake of Malayalam films in other languages like Telugu or dub them, but this present interest has a renewed interest of a new wave of Malayalam cinema. The fact is that there has been a dearth of good content in Telugu for the last few years. So the film having a good content in other languages are most invited and liked.

Telugu film industry also spells big money and opportunity for filmmakers and actors in Kerala. So the Malayalam actresses and actors would love to act in Telugu remakes of those films which will enable them fame along with cash.

Remake and actresses

Not just films are remade, the actors and actresses who have made the originals will to work in remakes. The Malayalam actresses have been making inroads in Telugu Film industry. Many Malayali female actors are liked in Telugu films. Nithya Menen, Amala Paul and Poorna are a few name in that list. Because of the liking and accepting the heroines in Telugu, a bunch of new actresses such as Keerthy Suresh, Samaskruthy Shenoy, Isha Talwar, Niveda Thomas and Anjana Menon have increased the list.

Despite of being poor in adopting the language, the actresses are trying to get success in remakes of their films in Telugu as the remakes are getting the same level of success. The number of films being made in Telugu always need and demand for new talent. The industry is said to adopt the new talent easily and embraces the things eagerly. If the first film of a new talent is liked and praises, then sky is said to be the limit in Telugu.
