A year of success
Rakul Preet will be a part of Kick 2, which is something to be happy for her fans. Rakul Preet has recently taken the spotlight with back to back hits which includes films like Venkatdri Express, Loukyam and Theega. With Rough hitting theatres this December Rakul is at the pinnacle of her career, this year turning to be one of the best for her. There were rumors spreading around with news of Rakul being replaced in Kick 2, this was due to the fact she looked so young while sharing screens with Ravi Teja.
But neglecting everything and brushing aside the rumors, Film maker Surender Reddy spoke about Rakul, already completing the first schedule and will join the team within a few days. And the director also underlined the fact that Rakul Preet will be the lead actress in kick 2, with few scenes has already been filmed with Rakul and Brahna-Nandam.
Addressing the issue the director said the rumor would have come out due to the recent strike in Tollywood, by which shooting was stopped and the actress gave her dates for a Hindi film, and due to this, Rakul couldn’t come back immediately. Rakul has adjusted and addressed this issue and will join us for the second schedule quickly.
Kick and response
The story for kick was inspired from Habib Tanvir’s play called Charandas Chor. The film received overall good response from critics, with most of them praising the making and performance of the lead. Sify was on the basis that the film could have been better but still is worth of your time and money. Indiaglitz also provided a positive review writing, Kick is an good attempt for providing a complete entertainer from start to end, the movie runs fine with the masala of twist and thrill blended with comedy and action. They were also of the same opinion as sify about the movie could have been a lot better if little care had given for speed and fight elements. Sajid Nadiawala showed his interest in remaking this film with Murugadoss as director. Korea Tourism Organization invited Sajid for a visit to South Korea and there by signing an agreement for shooting the film or portions of film in South Korea. Salman Khan starred in the film which then went to become a blockbuster.
Kick 2 and anxiety
Kick 2 will be made by Surender Reddy and Vakkantham Vamsi will do the story for the part 2 of the successful Kick. Ravi Teja will do the lead and will be produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, films official launch took place on August 20 and the principal photography started on the same day. The film will hit the theatres on May 28, 2015. Tamannah was considered at first for lead but couldn’t reach an agreement due to the lack of dates. Rakul was confirmed as the lead heroine on September 1, and rumors are stating that Ravi Teja will do a double role as father and son in the film.
