Progressing at Brisk Pace
South Indian actor Suriya is completely involved with his upcoming release Tamil film ‘Masss’ which is gradually and quickly coming into shape. In the direction of Venkat Prabhu, film is said to have been completed three schedules in Chennai. Shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. The film is a horror comedy entertainer with female lead role is assigned to Nayanthara, while Amy Jackson appears in a pivotal role.
With this, nearly half of the film has been completed and they all are at rest for resuming the film with the new enthusiast. Next portion of the film will be framed after Gandhi Jayanti holidays in Chennai. Amy Jackson, who is going to be seen in the role of ghost is likely to join the team in this new schedule. Resuming will be started from Bulgaria with the shooting of a song. Also Karaikudi is a scheduled place waiting to be filmed in the upcoming time, sources say.
About the film
Masss is touted to be a supernatural thriller with Karunas, Sreeman and Parthiepan also in important roles along with Suriya, Nayanthara and Amy Jackson. Duel role is filmed with Suriya and Yuvan Shankar Raja has given the music for Masss. The film is a joint production venture of Suriya’s 2D Entertainments along with Studio Greens.
Recently, the choreographer Ajay Raaj has tweeted about the recent shoot of a song of the film. Also, Premgi Amaren who is a regular actor in all Venkat prabhu films, will be appearing in a supporting role. This is the first time when Suriya has teamed up with Venkat and this folds up more expectations for the project from all. Till now, the first look of poster of the film has received positive responses from the fans. First poster for the film had been released on the Diwali evening. Though, many initially said that this is a copy of Hollywood movies. But after some issues, controversy came to an end and they got enough responses.
After ‘Masss’
After completing the shooting for Masss, Suriya is going to start his new project with director Vikram Kumar of ‘Yaarvarum Nalam’ and ‘Manam’ fame and has been tentatively titled ‘24’. The film is going to be a Tamil-Telugu polyglot, and will have the music by Oscar winning AR Rahman. This would be the third time when Rahman will work in Suriya film after ‘Silunu Oru Kadhai’ and ‘Ayutha Ezhuthu’.
The news was spread by Sreedhar Pillai, an entertainment industry tracker. He tweeted regarding the music, camera, Art and Production of the film. All the remaining details like about cast and crew members are still awaited. Also, a report about Catherine Tresa to be female lead for Suriya was in news, but till not confirmed. ‘24’ is touted to be an action adventure film with all the commercial elements, including sentiments, humour, romance and action.
Suriya’s last release was ‘Anjaan’, and got all negative reactions from critics and audience also. So fans are waiting for his boom entry with Masss.
