Talented actress Anjali is having one of the best times of her career with the success of her latest film Geetanjali, she has proved quite a few time that she is one of the talented actress in the industry today. The versatile actress has become one of the first choices for directors looking for performance oriented films or films that demand great acting from the lead. The film will be directed by Asho, the man behind the comedy-super hit Pilla Jamindar. Ashok planned to act another actress for the role but due to the fact that she pulled out it paved way for Anjali into the role. Anjali gained attention with her critically praised performances in Kattardhu Thamizh, Angaadi Theru and Engaeyum Epodhum. She is considered as one of the best young actress in Tamil cinema and is well known for playing Female oriented roles. Anjali was born in Razole, and later moved to Chennai where she persuaded her studies in mathematics for degree. She stepped into the world of cinema by acting is short films, once during her modeling assignment director Siva Nageshwara saw her and was impressed, this lead to her first Telugu film named Photo. Anjali was told to act as a ghost who was haunting her murderers in photo.

She also acted in another Telugu romantic flick Premalekha Rassa which was Kulashekar, both these films bombed in the box office and had a naïve response from both critics and audience. Failing to impress in her Telugu films, Anjali made her Tamil Debut with Kattradhu Thamizh which was directed by Ram or the film which changed Anjalis life and Career. The film opened to heavy critical acclaim, Anjali was also applauded for her wonderful performance as Anandhi. One of the reviewers wrote- Anjali as Anandhi is a delight to watch, the new fresh look and equally good performance is refreshing for the audience. The film also lead the way for her first Filmfare award for best Debutant and Vijay award for Debut Actress. Her popularity started growing and with some unsuccessful films in Telugu and Kannada came Angadi Theru, a cinema which was made for Anjali, she was charming and at her best as Kani in Angadi Theru, portraying a sales woman in a Textile showroom. The film became a critic’s favorite and won every audiences heart, and especially Anjali performance was praised universally.

Anjali has now become one of the most exciting actresses to watch in Indian Cinema and we only wish for her to act more in female oriented and films with a touch of class.
