The latest buzz is that the pre-release of this and the other Rajnikanth’s ‘Robo’ got into competition. I is an upcoming Tamil romantic thriller film produced by V. Ravichandran under his production company, Aascar Films. Scripted and directed by Shankar and featuring Vikram and Amy Jackson film has got amazing responses from fans all over its releases. Film has led an ensemble cast and crew including Upen Patel, Suresh Gopi, Ramkumar Ganesan and Santhanam. A.R. Rahman has composed the soundtrack album and background scores.
According to the reports, Kavuri Creations bagged ‘I’ rights all over Krishna for 2.25 Cr. While all other places collected Guntur-3.6 Cr, Nizam-12 Cr, Vizag-3.5 Cr, East Godavari-2.75 Cr, Ceeded-7 Cr, West Godavari -2 Cr and Nellore- 1.5 Cr. While Rajnikan’t Robo collected 37 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Talangana Regions.
Casting and Character Looks of ‘I’
Vikram is well known leading the male lead role for the film. At first, Asin, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone were reported to be in the female lead roles. After then, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was signed in for female lead. Vikram plays the character called ‘Lingesan’. The character considers Arnold Schwarzeneggar as a role model and his aim in life is to win the Mr. Tamil Nadu Title. The music of Tamil version at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on 15th September 2014. Earlier movie was expected to be released on Oct 23, 2014 but now the date has been postponed and fixed for Jan 9, 2015.
