Ahuti Prasad, renowned Telugu actor, died of cancer

Renowned Telugu actor Ahuti Prasad passed away on January 4, 2015. He was not keeping well for a long time and was under treatment for cancer over the last few months.  He was only 57 years of age. His demise has shaken the entire industry and they are yet to recover from the shock of losing a talented and popular actor so early.

The beginning

Ahuti Prasad set his foothold in the industry in 1986 with the movie Vikram. Incidentally, this was also the debut movie of superstar Nagarjuna. The two shared a bond of friendship since then and his death has shattered Nagarjuna. He was spotted by producer Shyam Prasad while shooting for Vikram who offered him a role in his upcoming film, Aahuti. The Golden age

Aahuti Prasad ruled the silver screen for a number of years and was one of the best known and popular actors in the Telugu film industry. He was recently playing the father roles in Tollywood and was respected by all ages of stars and upcoming actors and actresses. He was awarded the Best Character Actor award in 2008 for his role in the movie Chandamama and in and was also awarded the Nandi Award for Best Villain for the film Nenu Ninnu Premistunnanu in the year 2003. He was an extremely versatile actor and portrayed his roles to the perfection.  His roles in Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimallechettu also won warm praises from all around. His acting career spanned over 300 films and was truly a legend.

The void

His death has left a void which could never be filled. He was truly a genius who achieved his position through discipline, dedication and sheer hard work.
